Brandon Sanderson signs A Memory of Light, the final volume of Robert Jordan's acclaimed Wheel of Time series, Friday, February 1st, 7:00 PM at Weller Book Works.
Brandon Sanderson is at the head of a class of modern superstar fantasy authors re-inventing the genre. . . and has had the distinguished honor of completing one of the most legendary long-running series in history. A MEMORY OF LIGHT by Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson might just be the most anticipated book of 2013 in any genre.
Brandon grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska. He teaches creative writing at Brigham Young University and lives in Utah with his wife and children.
Brandon is the New York Times bestselling author of The Way of Kings, the first novel in The Stormlight Archive; the Mistborn trilogy; Warbreaker, Elantris, and the middle grade “Alcatraz” series.
In December of 2007, Brandon was chosen to complete Robert Jordan's bestselling Wheel of Time series. He has now completed the last novel in this epic project.
Experience the final battle. The end is upon us.

Four exciting New West authors join us in store to discuss the differences and similarities of the Old versus New West. Jana Richman, Erica Olsen, Maximilian Werner, and Steven L. Peck will all be here to read and sign their books, but also to hold a conversation with the audience on the themes of their works, and how they are pertinent to the New West. We might even find out what they like to read themselves. George Handley, author of Home Waters: A Year of Recompenses on the the Provo River, will be moderating.
In Jana Richman's book The Ordinary Truth, three generations of strong-willed women—recent college graduate Cassie, rancher-turned-city-girl Kate, and gruff sharp-shooter Nell—show us through their acts of loving rebellion and misguided anger that there are no easy answers when it comes to water in the desert or women in mourning.
Erica Olsen's collection of short stories, Recapture are “...sly, heartbreaking stories that capture the modern West, where the past is ever-present and the future is already here.”
Maximilian Werner's Crooked Creek is warning to us all that we will live or die by virtue of the stories we tell about ourselves, the Earth, and our true place within the web of life.
In The Scholar of Moab, Steven L. Peck stresses that his novel’s place names, geography, and Mormon culture are real, right down to the Jello mold salads, yet the tale itself is bigger than life.
Join us for an evening of engaging conversation with these four authors from Torrey House Press. Check out Torrey House's website, torreyhouse.com.

Cory Doctorow (craphound.com) is a science fiction author, activist, journalist and blogger -- the co-editor of Boing Boing (boingboing.net) and the author of Tor Teen novels For the Win and the bestselling Little Brother. He is the former European director of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and co-founded the UK Open Rights Group. Born in Toronto, Canada, he now lives in London.
The sequel to the critical hit, Little Brother, Homeland picks up when Marcus finds himself once again risking everything to take on creeping tyranny and surveillance. Doctorow strikes a successful balance between agenda and story in his newest near-future, pre-dystopian thriller. Outstanding for its target audience, even those outside Doctorow’s traditional reach may find themselves moved by its call to action. It is so exciting to be partnering with The Leonardo for this event. Their venue is the perfect place for Cory and his fans, and terrific match of author and place. Check out their website, theleonardo.org.
